Ask for a follow before the link.
Follow to unlock, also called a follow gate, turns a comment into a new follower. Someone comments your keyword. Before your link arrives, Waveloop asks them to follow you, checks with Instagram that they do, and then sends the DM.
What the commenter sees.
- They comment your keyword.
- They get an opening DM with one button, like “Send me the link”.
- They tap it, and Waveloop checks with Instagram whether they follow you.
- If they do, your DM with the link arrives.
- If they don’t, they get a Follow Us button that opens your profile and an I’m following button. Once they follow and tap it, the link arrives.
Set it up in a minute.
Open a comment automation, click Setup Message and tick Require follow before link. Edit the opening message, its button label and the message for people who aren’t following yet. Leave the opening message blank to use the default.
On every plan.
Follow to unlock works on Free, Pro and Max, on comment automations. Every new follower it brings in shows up as Followers gained on your Home dashboard.
Say what they’ll get in the opening message, like “Tap below and I’ll send the full recipe.” People tap more when they know what’s coming.
