Waveloop for Chrome is our free Chrome extension. It puts a Waveloop button on your own Instagram reels and posts, so you can set up comment to DM without leaving Instagram. It works in Chrome on a computer, on every plan, including Free.
Install it
- Open Waveloop for Chrome in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.
- Click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Waveloop.
- Click the Waveloop icon, then Sign in with Waveloop, or Create a free account.
- Click Allow on Waveloop's page.
To set up automations, your Instagram account needs to be connected to Waveloop.
Set it up on your reel
- Open one of your own reels or posts on instagram.com.
- Click the Waveloop button at the bottom right. It says Automate this reel, or Live with the keyword when one is running.
- Add a keyword, or switch on Trigger on any comment.
- Write your DM, then add a button label and the link.
- Click Save and go live, or Save as paused.
The button shows on your 125 most recent reels and posts. Changes made in your dashboard can take up to 5 minutes to show on the button, so check there before you build a second one.
Already running? The same button shows it, with Edit, Duplicate, its switch and Results.
The popup
Click the Waveloop icon in the toolbar.
- Automations: your numbers and every automation with its switch. Click one for its last 7 days, Edit, Duplicate or Delete. New starts a DM keyword or story reply automation.
- Contacts: your latest contacts, with search, and the emails people shared. Export CSV is on Pro.
- More: your dashboard pages, one click each.
Several Instagram accounts? Pick one at the top of the popup. Pro features, like follow to unlock, show with a lock and Upgrade, as in your dashboard.
Sign out
Click Sign out in the extension. Or in your dashboard, open Settings, General, Waveloop for Chrome and click Disconnect.
Is it safe?
Yes. On Instagram, it reads only the address of the page you're on, and checks it on your computer. It never reads your messages or what's on the page, and it never clicks, types or posts anything on Instagram. Your DMs are sent by Waveloop's servers through Instagram's official API, so they keep going when Chrome is closed. The details are in our privacy policy.
