Yes. When you connect, Instagram shows you what Waveloop is asking for, and you approve it on Instagram's own page. Waveloop uses that access to run your automations.
What Waveloop can do, and why
- Read your profile, like your username and profile picture, to show which account is connected and your account stats.
- See your posts and reels, so you can pick one for an automation.
- Read comments on your posts and reels, to spot your keywords and save the people who comment them as contacts.
- Send DMs for you, and post the public comment replies you set up.
What it doesn't do
- It never sees your password.
- It doesn't post to your feed or stories.
- It doesn't message people who haven't contacted you first.
See the apps connected to your Instagram
Instagram keeps a list of the apps and websites you've connected. To see it, open your settings in the Instagram app and go to Apps and websites.
You can take it back anytime
- In Waveloop: open Connections and click Disconnect Instagram. Your automations stop.
- In Instagram: remove Waveloop from Apps and websites in your settings.
Waveloop is an Official Meta Business Partner and an Official Meta Tech Provider, and it connects through Instagram's official API.
