Yes. A comment automation can post a public reply under the comment as well as sending the DM. It's optional, and it works on every plan, including Free. Free has one public reply per automation. On Pro, you can write several versions, and Waveloop picks one at random for each comment.
A public reply tells the commenter, and everyone else reading, that the DM is on its way.
Which comments get a reply
Every comment the automation answers: the ones that contain your keyword, or every comment on the post when Trigger on any comment is on.
Set it up
- Open your comment automation.
- Under Optional, click Public Comment Replies.
- Type a reply, like "Sent it to your DMs", and add it.
- On Pro, add a few more replies if you like. Waveloop picks one at random for each comment.
- Click Save Replies.
Five replies you can use
- Sent it to your DMs.
- The link is in your DMs.
- Just sent you the link.
- It's in your inbox now.
- Done. Enjoy the recipe.
Good to know
- Public replies are for comment automations only. DM keyword and story reply automations answer inside the DM.
- Everyone can see these replies under your post, so keep them short and friendly.
- On Pro, several different replies keep your comment section from looking copy-pasted, and the DM can rotate too, with DM variations.
- On Free, an automation that already rotates several replies keeps them.
- The public reply is separate from the DM. Turn it off by removing all replies from the list.
Write each reply so it makes sense on its own. Any one of them can appear under any comment.
