Yes, in two ways. A contact is the Instagram username of someone who triggered a comment automation. An email lead is an email address someone sends you in the DM. Contacts are saved on every plan. Email collection is on the Pro plan and up.
Contacts, on every plan
When someone comments and triggers one of your comment automations, Waveloop saves them as a contact with their Instagram username. Open Contacts in your dashboard to search them or open their profile. On Pro, you can also export them as a CSV file.
Story replies and DM keywords don't create contacts. Contacts are unlimited on every plan, with fair use.
Emails, on Pro
Any automation can ask for an email right after it sends the DM. The person's next message is saved as a lead if it contains a valid email address.
- Open a comment, DM keyword or story reply automation.
- Click Also collect their email.
- Tick Ask for their email.
- Write the question, or leave it blank to use the default.
- Add an optional thank-you message, then save.
Collected emails appear on the Contacts page under Email leads, ready to download as a CSV.
An email list goes wherever you go. Ask for it after you've delivered what people came for, and say what you'll send them.
